Team Anglia Masters make their debut on the National stage at the National Masters Short Course Championships held at Sheffield Ponds Forge. Because a rule change that meant that you could swim an individual event for your club and represent another club in relays (which has since been changed again), Team Anglia entered their first two relays.
First up, the Mens/Womens 160+ Open 200m Medley Team, Andrew Fresher (back), Lucy Ryan (breast), Elizabeth Woolner (fly) and Marcel Scholten (free) and finished a fantastic 4th place, next up was the Mens Open 200+ 400m Freestyle Team, consisting of Martyn Fresher, Dale Barker, Andrew Fresher and Marcel Scholten and claiming Barbarians their first Nationals medal, a bronze, hopefully the first of many.
